Because this work was not an obligation, it seems some small children couldn’t much concentrate on it. A few just wrote down Khmer alphabet on the paper.
The smallest children of our foster children program are grade 1. And even among those small children some took a note of what we wrote down on the blackboard and managed to make up at least 1 sentence. I really appreciate children’s such efforts.
And by thinking of it, I can confirm that those who were merely writing Khmer alphabet were feeling bored. I could still recognize their attempt to “study,” since they were not scribbling!
Anyway, obviously more enjoyable program should be and have been easier to work on for such small ones. We’ll think about it.
