In the card, paper hearts (also an application of symmetric figures) are to be scattered around paper flowers (four flowers one set) as decoration. The colored papers to be used for the flowers were randomly distributed to each child, and the color scheme of the 4 flowers and the placement of the hearts totally depend on the child's senses.
And among upper grades, not only making a heart shape but a few started putting together the hearts into a flower shape, and some other made symmetrical figures other than hearts. They came up with such ideas while cutting and pasting. I am impressed by the creativity cultivated in this way.
We had the inside of the card decorated with scissors and glue as much as possible, but we prepared color pencils only for the cover. There, active children designed words such as Happy New Year (in Khmer) in various colors. The children used color pens to draw letters and pictures when they made their name panels last time, and it seemed that many were getting accustomed to handling colors and drawing.
I believe that each of these experiences will be the cornerstone of the next new experience.
