It’s the ability to read from.

Updated: Dec 3, 2020

Letter from foster parents to their foster children have also arrived after a long interval. We ask the children who receive letters to write back. However it seems they have a difficulty to think how to reply as they don’t have a habit to write a letter.

As they get older, some children appear to write easily, but the contents of their letters are somehow none the better for the change. All end up with sentences like “I am doing well, how about you? Father, Mother, please take care of your health.” Even if foster parents wrote about their countries and lives, or ask questions, it seems they are not accustomed to write in response to those.

So again, we need to prepare staffs to take a closer look at each child. What was written in the letter from your foster mother? What do you think about it? Does she ask any questions?..Like this, we should take time to work on one by one, in order to develop their ability to “read” from sentences.

I write about children’s letter occasionally, but it’s not easy because not everyone all at once practice to write a letter. Some are good at it and others are not, also. Firstly, we would like to continue to put effort into improving their basic language ability.
