Hygiene & Health Support

In areas away from cities, with the help of parents and school teachers, we provide hygiene knowledge, food education, dental education etc. while conducing continuous growth checks. When we have cooperation from overseas medical professionals, we provide free medical treatment and introduce their skills and knowledge for the development of local medical services.

Occupational Training

We provide knowledge and skills so that the youth can open up their world and improve their economic status by themselves. Training includes medicine, agriculture, massage, sawing and handcrafts etc.

Infant Care & Elementary Education

For a long time nursery schools or kindergartens had not functioned in Cambodia and people’s interest or trust toward education system had been low. In recent years private kindergartens have started to be built but economically disadvantaged families cannot use such facilities. Through the foster children program, we provide local children with maternal & child health knowledge and early/ elementary educational programs..

Reading Promotion & Mobile Library

We read Khmer stories and lend English children’s books for local children in rural areas.

Herbal Remedies

Some plants like lotus and ylang ylang are popular in Cambodia as medicine, while other native plants such as eucalyptus and thyme are not used for treatment. In fact only small numbers of people are familiar with traditional medicine. Thinking of the reality that many people cannot see doctors even if they are sill or get injured, BBE provides knowledge to appreciate beneficial nature around.

Character Education

Before the civil war, the nation was filled with beautiful culture to share and help each other. Today, the most influential source for the youth is the media, which brings confusion of sense of value. We are aimed to remind them of some universal values along their own traditional courtesy.
