ACTIVITIES

Hygiene & Health Support

In areas far from cities, we work with parents and school teachers to carry out activities to prevent children's health by incorporating continuous growth monitoring and providing nutritional and hygiene education.

We also provide free medical treatment to local people and share skills and knowledge with local medical personnel when we receive cooperation from overseas medical groups.

Occupational Training

We provide knowledge and skills so that the youth can open up their world and improve their economic status by themselves. Training includes medicine, agriculture, massage, sawing and handcrafts etc.

Primary & Secondary Education

For a long time nursery schools or kindergartens had not functioned in Cambodia and people’s interest or trust toward education system had been low.

Through foster children care programs and activities at public schools, we provide opportunities for children to develop their writing and creativity skills..

Reading Promotion & Mobile Library

We read Khmer stories and lend English children’s books for local children in rural areas.

Herbal Remedies

Some plants like lotus and ylang ylang are popular in Cambodia as medicine, while other native plants such as eucalyptus and thyme are not used for treatment. In fact only small numbers of people are familiar with traditional medicine. Thinking of the reality that many people cannot see doctors even if they are sill or get injured, BBE provides knowledge to appreciate beneficial nature around.

Social Education

Before the civil war, the nation was filled with beautiful culture to share and help each other. Today, the most influential source for the youth is the media, which brings confusion of sense of value.

We are aimed to remind them of some universal values along their own traditional courtesy and to foster a sense of ownership in young people, allowing them to think about things on their own and make the right choices.
